this
Smith Automatic Film Developing Outfit Model D-3
made by the Philadelphia Air Transport Co. of Norristown, Pennsylvania.  Used by both the U.S. Army Air Forces and by the U.S. Navy, this lightweight, portable unit would be used to develop aerial reconnaissance photographs, gun camera footage and bomb damage assessment photographs either on larger air bases, aboard aircraft carriers and on forward airstrips.  Able to process film up to 5 7/32" wide and up to 25 feet in length, this Model developing outfit consists of a spool winder with clamps that can either be turned by hand or with the enclosed power unit, three developing tanks for the various chemicals used for the developer, fixing and washing baths with instruction sheet and fiberboard carrying case.  This Model Developing Set is complete and appears to be in fair cosmetic condition. this model is same as model 5.25-300, so I copied that manual for this one. only thing is that some rust on the motor
from age, so the motor cannot be tested. sold as is for collections only. the last picture shown the example loaded film to the roller.
Case dimension: 12x15x7", Weight: 21.7lb.
